Artist’s Statement

I am drawn to visual and physical representations of interconnectedness and how these connections feel in the body and in our experience. The way in which the natural world and our physical bodies are reflected in one another, such as the parallels between capillaries, tree roots, neurons, and river systems, is something I continue to be interested in representing in my art. These visual patterns often share an emotional language for how I understand memory, stories, relationships, and change. The knots, bends, circularity, and sense of transformation in these patterns echoes my perspective on being.

My sculptural and performance art explores this universal quality of knowing and feeling within my body and inner world as it relates to greater ecosystems.
